“Improve Shoulder Stability: Effective Posterior Scapula Activation Exercises”
We have several muscles surrounding the shoulder blade, all of which contribute to the dynamic stability of the shoulder.
This posterior scapula activation drill is a great way to target these muscles, help get them strong, and prepare the shoulder for battle with upper body exercise and activities. While we prefer tubing or band resistance these can also be done with a cable machine.
Start light and focus on controlled motion. Progress as tolerated.
Start with 1-2 sets or 8-10 each
