What is a Physical Therapist?
Physical therapists are university trained and are experts in injury treatment, exercise prescription, injury prevention, rehabilitation and many other areas of sport and health and fitness.
What do I need to bring?
Be prepared to provide your previous medical or surgical history. If you have them and if they are relevant bring scan/MRI reports, and list of medication. You may wish to bring shorts, t-shirt, and active footwear.
How many visits will I need?
The number of treatments will vary depending on the problem and individual. After a thorough assessment, you physical therapist will discuss the treatment plan for the rehabilitation process.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Part of physical therapy will be to get you moving, so it is important that you wear comfortable clothing that will allow you to move freely. Footwear should be flat, preferably some form of athletic shoe. We do not recommend wearing dresses or formal wear to your appointment and have facilities to change into appropriate wear. Do I have to be referred by a doctor?
No, we are a "direct access" state. This means you can schedule an appointment with one of our physical therapists that can assess and treat without referral by a doctor. However, many health insurers require a doctors referral before they authorize coverage of fees. Some may only require a phone call. If you have questions, contact our main office at 480-272-7140.
Treatment duration depends on your diagnosis, the severity of your impairments, your past medical history, and other factors. Re-evaluations will be done to assess your progress and your therapist communicates with your physician to help you achieve your therapy goals.

We have licensed physical therapists and physical therapy assistants on staff who have obtained and achieved advanced certifications in orthopedics, sports therapy, and pediatric therapy.
We will check with your health insurance provide to determine if outpatient physical therapy services are covered under your plan.
In order to experience the optimal benefits of physical therapy, it is important to be consistent with your visits. We offer flexibility of rescheduling same day. Call the facility in which you go to for all your regular appointments to reschedule your appointments.
