Kory is a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy at our Moon Valley location. He brings a strong background in sports and orthopedic physical therapy. He is also a Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Certified Physical Therapist.
Education
Dr. Kory Straine earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2011 from Loma Linda University in California after earning his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from California State University in San Bernardino, California. Kory lived and worked in Southern California for 3 years in Physical Therapy before settling in Arizona in 2014 with his wife to enjoy all that is to offer in the Valley of the Sun. Kory continues to work in the outpatient setting in Orthopedics and Sports Physical Therapy. He treats the active and aging population. Now a practitioner of Physical Therapy and Wellness in his 10th year, Kory is passionate to learn more about the human body and what treatment each person desires and needs. Kory is a highly skilled Therapist who practices Evidenced-Based Physical Therapy which re-evaluates his methods and delivery of treatments to ensure the best possible outcome for his clients and patients. His treatments vary from Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization/Massage, Spinal Manipulations/Mobilizations, Cup Therapy/Myofascial Decompression, Neuro-Muscular Re-Education, Dry Needle Therapy, Sport and Kinesiology Taping, Theragun Treatments and TRX Suspension Training! All of these treatments are exponentially more effective when combined with movement and exercise. Kory utilizes exercises based on Applied Functional Science, Vibration Training, Rehabilitative Science and Sport Specific Training.
